BUTLER CARVED IN ICE
Winter Ice Festival 2019
2019 will mark our 4th year hosting the Butler Carved In Ice festival. This years event will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Diamond Park and down Main Street in Butler. We’ll be hoping for the same wonderful weather and turn out for our club’s annual fundraiser. Over $60,000 has been raised during the past
years allowing us to donate to our many charities and to continue to provide the leadership programs for our youth. This event includes large ice sculptures donated by area businesses, wine and beer tasting booths, 50-50 and large gift basket drawings, special activities for children, music, and family entertainment. Help make this year’s event a success by purchasing an ice sculpture for your business, organization or even a group of friends. Then make sure you come to the event and participate in the wine and beer tastings, raffles, chili cook-off, and all the fun and entertainment.
For 20 years we have been planting the gorgeous gardens on New Castle Road in conjunction with the Western PA Conservancy. Members also maintain and mulch the garden and lawn at the bridge.

We have donated over $36,000 in scholarship and endowment money to the BC3 Education Foundation to help students in need of any age to offset college expenses.
BC3 Scholarships
Every December we are at Sam’s Club doors to ring the bell to collect money for our local Army. During the past 3 years the club has raised the most money of any organization in one day locally.
Bell Ringing for Butler Salvation Army
Our members choose Salvation Army children to donate specific toys, shoes, and clothing as requested by the child or his parents. This amounts to thousands of dollars of gifts annually to help families in need to make this season of giving become a reality for local families who cannot afford to do so. Some of us also donate to elderly who need clothing or other items and would not receive them otherwise.
Treasures for Children Christmas gifts
In conjunction with PennDOT Highway Clean Up Program, our Rotary cleans up this very busy area annually and helps to maintain the appearance of our area.

Community Health Clinic donations
Since 2005 we have donated over $110,000 for programs, equipment and supplies
Autism Christmas Swim at Conley’s
Working with the Autism Society of Butler County, Butler AM Rotary hosts an annual family Christmas swim at Conley’s Resort Pirate’s Cove pool. We also sponsor one of their fall monthly family outings at a park or local attraction.
In 2018 the club planted 40 saplings at the park under the Rotary District 7280 auspices. These fast-growing trees will be transplanted as they grow through various stages.
