Annual Flower Planting – Hansen Ave & New Castle

This Time of Year We’re All Flower Power

2019 was no exception in our annual flower planting on the island at the Hansen Ave. & New Castle St. intersection. Our club members brought family and friends to help in the day’s labor. Bright spirits, fellowship and fair skies made the day’s work go quickly and another year’s planting is done. The months of color and beauty on that little plot of land is worth it.

Our work is provided on behalf of and in conjunction with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. It’s one of a variety of highway reclamation and beautification projects we’re involved with as a local community service club. Rotary member, Judge Tim McCune, along with his wife Patty and nearly 2 dozen Butler AM Rotary members, family and friends planted over four hundred flowers.

Be sure to check out the flowers whenever your driving by the intersection and remember it’s your neighbors and friends that are responsible for bringing a little more color and beauty into your life.
